Eagles quarterback McNabb dealt to Redskins

The Philadelphia Eagles dealt former pro bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins for a pair of National Football League draft picks.
In exchange for McNabb, the Eagles will get a second-round pick (37th overall) in this month's entry draft and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year.
The 33-year-old McNabb, a six-time Pro Bowl quarterback, led the Eagles to five NFC championship games and one Super Bowl in 11 seasons in Philadelphia.
"He has been an excellent representative of this organization and the entire National Football League both on and off the field," said Eagles chairman Jeffrey Lurie.
McNabb is one of the Eagles greatest players in franchise history and holds numerous team records including yards passing (32,873), completions (2,801) and touchdown passes (216). He also rushed for 28 touchdowns.
Philadelphia made him the second overall pick in the 1999 entry draft.
The departure of McNabb opens the door for Philadelphia to make Michael Vick the backup quarterback behind Kevin Kolb.
"This was a very tough decision," coach Andy Reid said. "Donovan McNabb represented everything a football player could be during his 11 seasons in Philadelphia."
In 14 games last season, McNabb threw for 3,553 yards and 22 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He had the third highest passing rating of his career at 92.9.
