Contemporary Caribbean writers have sought and continue to write from a Caribbean perspective thus dismantling many of the myths which have been spun and more specifically developing and empowering our people with Caribbean consciousness and pride. Both of which are significant entities in the developmental process of the region. Critical to this process is the importance of disseminating their work. Carifuna thus intends to utilize this medium as a resource tool through which Caribbean intellectuals can touch as wide an audience as is humanly possible.
